| abstract | The taxonomic status of laelapine mites of the Echinlaelaps complex is briefly discussed. Diagnoses, a key and host records are given for the species occurring in Nigeria, West Africa. A new species, Laelaps (Echinolaelaps) dasymydis, is described. This study is based on collections in lbadan and environs (Western Nigeria) from June 1964 to May 1965. |
