| abstract | Forty species of chiggers are now known from Surinam. Of these, 32 are listed here, 13 of them providing new records, Loomisia mira, new species of Peropteryx kappleri, is described. Parasecia palmigera is a new combinaiton for Trombicula palmigera Fauran, 1960. A host-parasite list and keys to genera and species are included. |
