abstractTwo new species of the genus Gehypochthonius belonging to the family Gehypochthniidae (Acari: Oribatei) are described: G. rhadamantus from Tanzawa and Nikko, and G. frondifer sp.nov. from Mt. Fuji. Distinguishing characters of all the three species of the genus, including G. xarifae Strenzke, are also summarized in a table.
