abstractA new species of oribatid mites, Suctobelbella frondosa, is described from Mt. Kiyosumi, central Japan. The species is readily distinguishable from any other member of the genus Suctobelbella of the world by its peculiar foliate setae of the notogaster and strong chitinous ring near the anterior margin of notogaster.
