abstractNine species of hypopial nymphs belonging to the families Acaridae, Chaetodactylidae, and Saproglyphidae are described as new: Kuzinia affinis, K. americana, K. dispar (Acaridae); Vidia utahensis, Schulzea zahkvatkini (Saproglyphidae); Sennertia americana, S. ignota, S. indica and S. robusta (Chaetodactylidae). A new subgenus, Euvidia, is established for 3 species in the genus Vidia; and Vidia thomasi is proposed as a new name for Vidia cooremani Baker in the Saproglyphidae. Hymenopterous hosts and figures of each species are given.
