| abstract | A collection of mites discovered by Dr. J. Travé in the Subantarctic Islands (Kerguelen, Marion and Crozet) is studied.
The families Hyadesidae and Saproglyphidae have been studied in a previous paper (Fain, 1974). The present work is devoted to four other families: Acaridae, Anoetidae, Ereynetidae and Tarsonemidae. This material contains 10 species, belonging to 9 genera. Amongst these taxa, 7 species and 2 subspecies and 2 genera are new and described. The other taxa are recorded for the first time from these islands. |
