| abstract | The characterstics and a historical review of the genus Cunaxa are given. Descriptions and figures of five new species, viz. C. terrula, C. lamberti, C. meiringi, C. carina and C. grobleri, are provided. Figures of C. capreola (Berlese, 1890) and C. gazella (Berlses, 1916) are supplemented by more elaborate descriptions. A key to the sven species of Cunaxa from the African continent is supplied. |
