abstractNeomyobia aberrans sp. n. parasitic on Rhinolophus ferrumequinum and N. plurihospitalis sp. n. occurring on R. cornutus and Rhinolophus sp. in Japan are described. N. aberrans is distinctly different from N. rollinati (Poppe), a parasite of European R. ferrumequinum. This indicates that the Japanese and European Rhinolophus may belong to different taxa beyond the level of subspecies. Neomyobia plurihospitalis sp.nov. s very closely allied to N. slovenica Dusbábek, 1968, a parasite of Rhinolophus euryale.
