abstractTwo species of nasal mites of the family Ereynetidae are recorded from birds in the Hawaiian Islands: Boydaia (Coboydaia) nigra from the House Sparrow, Passer domesticus, and Ophthalmognathus tenorioae, n. sp. from the Black-crowned Night Heron, Nycticorax nycticorax hoactli.
