| abstract | The paramegistid genus Ophiomegistus is diagnosed and 5 new species, O. alainae, O. brennani, O. nihi, O. novaguinea and O. srawakensis are described from scincid lizards taken in New Guinea, Java and Sarawak. The previously unknown character of a basal hyaline lobe on the fixed cheliceral digit is described. A key to the species is given. |
