| abstract | Whartonia kulumadouensis is described as new from the Trobriand Naked-backed Bat, Dobsonia pannietensis remota, taken on Woodlark Island, Papua New Guinea, and the Greater Naked-backed Bat, Dobsonia moluccensis, taken in Irian Jaya. Whartonia penthetor is redescribed from the type series and a lectotype designated. |
